Emily Simpson is a Commercial Photography student at Appalachian State University. In her fourth year, she has honed her skills in sports photography. She strives to capture the energy found in various stadiums and arenas and freezing moments in high-action games. Her experience comes from working with various teams through her role as Associate Photo Editor of The Appalachian - Student-run Newspaper, and teams outside of App State, such as the FPHL Carolina Thunderbirds, AHL Charlotte Checkers, and Salem City FC.

   Emily plans to pursue a career in sports photography after graduating in December 2025. She is an independent, adventurous, and adaptable woman who enjoys traveling, works effectively in any situation, and finds joy in meeting new people!
